Product information
Redcurrant ‘Jonkheer van Tets’ is an RHS award-winning, self-fertile variety that produces heavy crops of large, sweet, juicy berries from early summer (June–July). Trained as a standard tree with a clear stem and a formed fruiting head, it offers easy access for picking and pruning and creates a striking focal point in the garden. Ideal for eating fresh or for jams, jellies and desserts, the plant grows to about 0.5–1.0 m and prefers full sun in moderately fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil. The raised head improves light and airflow, helping to reduce disease risk and simplify maintenance.
